What are the potentials of boredom in a world that is characterized by an accelerating time? And how can design be used to question a society in which boredom tends to be avoided?

Through visual research this project reveals a collectively, paradoxical approach towards boredom. By generating critical questions that stimulate thinking about the need for appreciation of boredom this project opens up a way towards revaluation.

The project aims to translate the complexity of the problem in such a way that the issue becomes accessible, tangible, perceptible and understandable. By the use of speculative design, a tool is created to communicate about the complex problem and to form and involve an audience around it. The project exists in collaboration in which the design functions as an invitation to participate in the process of critical thinking.

What do we actually plan in our overfull agenda’s? And what do we wish to plan in the agenda of the future?
